Due to the extreme cold weather, DPW has cancelled residential trash, heavy trash and curbside recycling collection for Monday, February 23. Residents affected by the cancellations will receive a double collection on their next regularly scheduled pickup day.
Trash services that were cancelled last week on Thursday, February 19, and Friday, February 20, will also receive a double collection on their next regularly scheduled pickup day.
Double collection means that residents in hand collection areas can set out up to 20 bags for pickup, and residents with a 96 gallon cart can put out up to 10 extra bags. Extra bags should be placed 3 to 4 feet away from the 96 gallon cart on either side.

In an effort to provide excellent customer service, the MAC now offers several ways for citizen's to request services and to check the status of an existing service request around the clock through RequestIndy online and the free RequestIndy Mobile Application.
