Mayor's Youth Council

The Mayor's Office is taking applications for membership on the Mayor's Youth Council for the 2013-2014 academic year through June 28, 2013.

The Mayor’s Youth Council (MYC) is a group of students from across Marion County who serve as the voice of Indianapolis youth within city government.

The MYC serves as advisors to the administration, participates in
community service projects and plans various programs and meetings.

Mayor’s Youth Council is responsible for:

  • Working with the Mayor to develop city policies focused on youth issues
  • Advising the Mayor of important youth issues in Indianapolis
  • Working to build partnerships with other youth organizations
  • Volunteering at community events throughout the city
