CRIMEWATCH ALERT! Vehicle Larcenies These larcenies are taking place at night and on the north east side of Lawrence. Entry is being gained by breaking vehicle windows or entering unlocked vehicles. Please report suspicious activity to the LPD at 545-7575. Officer Craig S. Herbert Memorial Site A memorial Web site has been created for Officer Craig S. Herbert, who was killed when his patrol car was struck by a suspect's vehicle during a vehicle pursuit. See www.cityoflawrence.org for more information. City Provides Playing Field for Children with Disabilities Mayor Paul Ricketts and the Miracle League of Indianapolis at Lawrence have signed the final agreement to provide exclusive rights for a custom designed field for disabled children to play baseball in one of the City’s parks.
