Several interesting and challenging volunteer opportunities are available within the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. In particular, the Civilian Volunteer Police and Police Reserve programs give members of the community the opportunity to become directly involved in helping the Department while learning about law enforcement.

In addition to the Civilian Volunteer Police and Police Reserve pages that can be accessed via the links at the left, information pertaining to other volunteer programs may also be found on this site.  The Police Explorer Program is comprised of high school students, ages 14 - 18, who assist the Police Department in providing community service, and volunteers with the Victim Assistance Program help staff  contact victims of crime to provide emotional support and information.
