Since 1990, MECA has owned and operated two Motorola SmartNet 800-MHz trunked analog voice radio communications systems, known as System 1 and System 2. System 1 supports all public safety users and System 2 supports public service users and serves as a backup to System 1. There are five (5) full transmit/receive sites and five (5) receive only sites between System 1 and System 2. MECA monitors the health of the system 24/7/365 via our HelpDesk Systems Technicians.
