Council and Committee Meetings
The Council is organized through a committee system and members are assigned to serve on committees which hold public hearings with regards to finance, public safety, economic development, community affairs, municipal corporations, children's health and environment, and all of the departments and agencies of the City and County administration. Once a proposal is heard by one of the Council's committees, it is then recommended for adoption or other action by the full Council body before it becomes a local law.
