District 17, Mary Moriarty Adams
Mary Moriarty Adams was elected to serve in 1987 and continues to serve the 17th District of Indianapolis. She chooses to focus her efforts as Councilwoman toward adding 200 more police officers, hiring more firefighters, correcting the City's Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) issues, continuing the repair and replacement of curbs and sidewalks, and improving on trash pick-up and illegal dumping.
With lots of experience in local governmental groups, Moriarty Adams has served as a Democrat precinctwoman and a ward chairperson, and is a member of the Southside Democrat Club, the Warren Township Democrat Club, the Public Policy Committee for the United Way of Central Indiana, and Little Flower Parish. She works for the National MS Society and presently serves as the chair for the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Committee and is a member of the Public Works Committee.
