       EXPLORERS


         The purpose of law enforcement exploring is to provide young adults who may be interested in a career in law enforcement with a comprehensive program of training, competition, service, and practical experience.

        Program objectives include:  To provide a program of training that educates young adults on the purpose, mission, and objectives of law enforcement agencies. To provide an opportunity for service, practical experiences, competition, and recreation. To help prepare Explorers to become better citizens and community leaders through character development, physical fitness, and good citizenship.        

         Eligibility requirements include:  Be a resident of the United States, Be enrolled in school (12-18) years old.  Maintain at least a “C” average in school. No prior criminal convictions.  Maintain a good standing in the school and community.  Must have reliable transportation.  Maintain a working telephone number. 

              

         Physical training will be included in each weeks meeting.  Explorers will be trained in running, pushups, sit ups, and many more cardio workouts to prepare them for a career in law enforcement.  If you are interested in joining the explorer program please contact Officer Christine Mannina at        Christine.Mannina@indy.gov ​​
