The 15 Senior Animal Care Technicians and 2 Kennel Supervisors at IACC are responsible for the general care of the animals at the shelter. This includes:
- The cleaning and sanitization of all kennels and cages
- The feeding of animals
- The vaccination and medication of animals
- Microchipping animals
- Receiving all surrendered animals
- Euthanasia
- Customer service, and
- Temperament testing candidates for adoption
The shleter, located at 2600 S. Harding Street, consists of 466 cages in four dog kennels, two cat rooms, receiving and drop-off.
