DESCRIPTION
This 4-acre neighborhood park was acquired in 1925, and later named for Indianapolis resident John Ed Washington, a student and basketball player at the University of Evansville, who perished along with his teammates in a plane crash in 1977.  This park is a host site foe Indy Parks' Summer Supervised Play program.
