Tennis (outdoor)

Indy Parks is excited to announce that 58 tennis courts at 11 Indianapolis parks were completely renovated in 2011. This project, a $1.5 million investment, was made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc. to the Indianapolis Parks Foundation.

How are the courts improved?
In addition to resurfacing, the courts are equipped with new nets and improved fencing. Many of the courts are lined to meet the USTA/Midwest Section standards for 10 & Under Tennis, in order to accommodate younger players.

Which courts are upgraded?
Renovations affect tennis courts at these 11 parks:
• Broadway & 61st Park
• Broad Ripple Park
• Brookside Park          • Douglass Park
• Ellenberger Park        • Garfield Park
• Greene Park              • Krannert Park
• Sahm Park                • Tarkington Park

We hope you’ll share our excitement for these new courts and the opportunities they’ll provide our community for years to come.
