POSITION SUMMARY: Position is responsible for directing contract compliance and department operation activities for the Board of Waterworks. The Director, on behalf of the Board, approves reports, main extensions, and contract elements within budget allocations; assesses incentive compliance of contract operator; participates in negotiating modifications to operating and other agreements; is a point of contact for other communities regarding inter-local agreements; and manages activities at the Department office. |

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, P.E. or MBA highly desired. At least ten (10) years relevant water industry experience preferred. Incumbent should have demonstrated ability to plan, define measurable objectives, assign observable values to work elements, budget, analyze value performed, report at executive level with detailed evaluation and offer corrective measures and suggestions to policy body. Senior management experience required.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Director assists the Executive Director to perform contract compliance and department operation activities for the Board of Waterworks. Recommends action based upon review and independent analysis of reports, assesses incentive compliance, participates in negotiating modifications for operating agreements and understandings, is a point of contact for other communities regarding inter-local agreement operating matters and assists in the management for activities at the department office. This positions responsibilities range from goal measurement, assisting the establishment and recommending approval for reporting methods, metrics and format developing. Recommending strategic plans for the department, provide project analysis, cost benefit analysis, monitors and reports upon contract activities to the Executive Director during periods of absence.

QUALIFICATIONS: Four (4) year degree. Degree in engineering is preferred. Minimum five (5) year's senior level management experience and associated management level budget accountability required. Minimum five (5) year's experience in applied business and systems analysis for manufacturing or logistics operations corporate entity having at least 100 employees and $20 million annual sales volume desired. Experience with ISO and the process of acquiring ISO certification desired. Excellent communication skills in both written and oral form with proficiency with Word and Excel software products. Must have a valid Indiana drivers license. |
