Division of Equal Opportunity

Mission Statement: The Equal Opportunity Division's mission is to implement the City-County's Equal Employment/Affirmative Action policies. Further the division assures City-County compliance with Federal Equal Employment/Affirmative Action regulations; increases public awareness and support of City business development, and promotes the quality of Minority-Owned Business Enterprise/Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) performance. Lastly, the division increases access to economic opportunity for small MBE/WBE's.

Individuals wishing to file charges of discrimination may schedule interviews between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday by calling the telephone number listed above.  Walk-ins are accepted, however, individuals with appointments will be given priority.

If you are employed by the City of Indianapolis, State of Indiana, Federal Government, or employed outside of Marion County, you should seek relief at the Federal Sector of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) at (317) 226-7212.
