A native of Indianapolis, Catherine began her career 10 years ago with the City of Indianapolis as a Project Manager for the Indianapolis Police Department Grants Unit, monitoring the Department of Justice Weed & Seed Initiative. She worked with six officially recognized sites Mid-North, United Northwest Area, Southeast Umbrella Organization, Coalition of Northeast Neighborhoods (CNN), and Westside/WESCO to assist in monitoring the implementation of their work plans and budgets. She also was instrumental in providing assistance in the establishment of 32 Weed & Seed Safe Havens sites that continue to provide programs and services to youth, teens, adults and seniors. |

In 2006 she became the Crime Watch Specialist for IPD North District working with over 35 neighborhood associations and 267 Crime Watch organizations. In 2007 the expansion of the District boundaries brought the opportunity for Catherine to increase the number of neighborhood associations to 191 creating relationships with 84 and the number of active Crime Watch groups increased to 440. Her knowledge and experience with neighborhood relations, community development and crime prevention is a great asset for the Neighborhood Services Division.
She has served as a working member of the United Northwest Area Community Development Board, Crown Hill Development Association Board. She is a 27 year volunteer veteran for the Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration.
Catherine is a graduate of Shortridge High School and attended I.U.P.U.I. majoring in marketing.
