Taxi Enforcement Actions

The Department of Business and Neighborhood Services regularly receives complaints from citizens and from within the industry. Serious complaints may result in a hearing to suspend or revoke the driver’s operator license and/or the taxi vehicle license.

Below are the names of several drivers that have been the subject of suspension or revocation.

Taxi activity by these drivers is considered unlicensed and should be reported to:

  • 10/3/2017: Marc Much - Taxi Operator license revoked per Consent Order.
  • 8/11/2017: Orange Taxi - Public Vehicle for Hire license denied.
  • 4/11/2016: Gezae Tesfamicael - 7 day suspension for refusing to transport a disabled customer.
  • 2/24/2016: Huruuse Agaabaye - 7 day suspension for refusing to transport a disabled customer.
  • 2/4/2016: Abm Asaduzzaman - 14 day suspension for overcharging fare higher than what is authorized.
  • 1/7/2016: James Kennedy - 45 day suspension for verbal confrontation and racially charged remarks toward another taxi driver.
